Today is Dr. Seuss Day and in honor of his big day I wanted to share with you a super simple easy craft, The Lorax Truffula Trees. Mommy and I love reading Dr. Seuss books and Mommy did a post a few years ago where she explained Why Your Children Should Read Dr. Seuss Books. One of my favorite movie from Dr. Seuss has been The Lorax but I have seen quite a few other movies, including Cat in the Hat, Horton Hears a Who and The Grinch. However, I love the story behind the Lorax so without further ado, here are my truffula trees.
Paper straws
Regular pompoms but the sparkly pompoms work best
Glue/Glue Gun
Instructions:
With your glue gun or whatever glue you prefer, attach the pompom to the straw and let dry.
That's it! You're done! Can you believe how easy it was to make these truffula trees? I couldn't believe it either. Mommy helped me put it together with the glue and I attached it to the straw. You can do this with your own little ones after reading The Lorax.
If you still haven't started your little one's Dr. Seuss library, may we recommend the Dr. Seuss's Beginner Book Collection? It contains the more popular books and will get you started.
